16:00:34 <Shelikhoo[mds]> Hi~
16:01:15 <cohosh> here is our meeting pad: https://pad.riseup.net/p/r.9574e996bb9c0266213d38b91b56c469
16:02:19 <cohosh> it looks like we don't have new discussion points this week but i'll give everyone a minute to fill the pad
16:03:29 <dcf1> I mentioned a few meetings ago that I had started working with someone on the idea of fountain codes (rateless erasure codes) for the purpose of rendezvous.
16:03:56 <Shelikhoo[mds]> Yes! Nice work!
16:04:02 <dcf1> We have a draft short paper (4 pages) that we're planning to submit to FOCI next week. You are welcome to take a look and comment on it.

16:04:10 <cohosh> awesome
16:04:58 <dcf1> I think something like this could form the basis of a rendezzvous for snowflake based on encrypted DNS, like dnstt but more tailored for discrete fixed-size messages rather than continuous streams.
16:05:14 <dcf1> And maybe have other uses as well.
16:06:02 <cohosh> yeah, totally
16:06:18 <theodorsm> Really cool!
16:06:25 <dcf1> The main source code directory has a couple of demos, if you want to see for yourself what the fountain codes look like. A file-based offline demo (encode.py and decode.py), and a UDP-based online demo (send.py and receive.py). There's also a demo of DNS name encoding in dns.py.

16:06:40 <Shelikhoo[mds]> I really like the many symbols in a single vector design for length shaping design
16:07:04 <dcf1> If you have any comments, let us know, otherwise just FYI
16:08:40 <cohosh> cool! i see there's nothing else in the pad this week
16:09:08 <Shelikhoo[mds]> EOF from me!
16:09:50 <cohosh> i realized we haven't reached out to proxy operators about updates yet for the dtls fingerprinting
16:10:12 <cohosh> i can send a tor-relays email
16:10:28 <Shelikhoo[mds]> Nice! Thanks cohosh!
16:10:53 <cohosh> anything else?
16:11:03 <Shelikhoo[mds]> The snowflake default bridge line was updated with new set of stun server. EOF
16:11:14 <cohosh> that's great, thanks Shelikhoo[mds]!
16:11:30 <Shelikhoo[mds]> (In tor browser) Eof
16:12:14 <cohosh> okay, i'll end the meeting here, thanks everyone for joining
